Hi Welcome to my profile. I have been playing chess since I was 7 but have only started seriously a couple of years ago. I like chess because it is challenging and makes you think. Most of my OTB chess is done at school or are 'friendlies' so I haven’t done any ‘official’ tournaments or anything. I really enjoy vote chess not only because it’s a great way for you to learn, but also because it’s a good way for you to teach others. I have a couple of goals for my rating here. I am currently trying to improve my rating to at least 2000 but I don't think it'll ever stay there permanetely as I haven't even beaten any of them yet in a regular game (only by time-out and in 960chess).  I am currently a member in many groups. I like being able to talk to people with common interests. Playing with a team is much more enjoyable then playing by yourself I find. I have two favourite groups. Team Australia and Chess Nuts! But I like all groups that I'm in. If they weren't any good I wouldn't be in them right :p  My avatar is currently myself with my mum, brother and sisters at Machu Picchu in a trip we went on late in 2009.
