Grew up in New Orleans and lived most of my life there. I played my 1st chess game when I was 10; checked out the chess club in high school but went a different path; later I tried to memorized the game; now I am just trying to learn.
As for age I don't do MM/DD/YYYY... let's just say this: I was very aware of all the fuss about the Beatles. I was young and naive to think that my parents would let me go to Woodstock but I asked anyway. I was 'into' the Doors, Hendrix, Led Zep, Grand Funk, Pink Floyd, Iron Butterfly, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Procol Harum, Cream, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath, and others... I even saw them all live in concert except for Jim and Jimi. I knew then that it was a very special time; now I truely appreciate why.
