Hi my name is Joel Anthony and I am a chess enthusiast and am very active here on chess.com. Furthermore I am the admin of few groups here on chess.com. If I am not online in two days i am either very sick or dead.
I am a writer and have composed poems and other pieces of work.
I play basketball, soccer, football, swimming, karate, and track.
I am working on becoming an admin in a group and please feel free to add me to your friend list.
I am also very open to any game challenges so bring them on.
My favorite time controls are 60 minute 5 second delay, 30 minute 5 second delay, and 2 hours no delay.
My favorite openings are the London System and Sicilian Defense. d4 d5 Nf3 Nf6 Bf4 Bf5 e3 e6 Bd3 Bd6 Bg3 Bxg3 hxg3 QAWESOMENESS
I like open positions with many tactical ideas.
My best game is my game versus Grand master Alexander Onischuk in a simul which resulted in a draw.
I recently won the United South Amateur Championship with 1st place in my section and I also traveled out of state to play in the Memphis Chess Jamboree and took third place in my section. Also I am the founder of Summit Chess Club in Memphis Tennessee with a friend of mine.
As you can see I am much better OTB with a rating around 1920 and currently trying to break 2000.
