Played a lot OTB last century (i.e. up to 2000, not the previous one :-) ), county leagues, intercounty, tourneys. Missed getting a FIDE rating over 2000 in the Major Open at the British Championship by 1/2 a point after 9 rounds, having won against two players around 2100 in the first two rounds.
