About Me:
This kind of chess is perfect for me. No travelling, no late nights and plenty of time to analyse. I try not to play more games at the same time than I can keep in my head and think about also when I am out walking my dog. --- But my greatest victory was in OTB-chess. It was in June 1954. I was 15 and my school class went to Germany for a week. There we had a competition against a German school class in different events like running and jumping and even chess. My classmates chose me to play the chess game as I was pretty sure about how the chess pieces could move. --- Then, in the middle of the game my German opponent suddenly stood up and shook my hand and thanked me for the game. He resigned, but I couldn't see why. And I couldn't very well ask him in front of the applauding audience. ------ Now if this person reads this I'd be happy to ask him if he remembers why he gave up (and I do promise him a re-match) .
PS "Fantomen" is Swedish for The Phantom
