About Me:
I was born and raised in East Tennessee, in the Cumberland Mountains. I now attend Georgia Southern University where I study International Studies (con. Society and Culture of Europe and Latin America) and Spanish. I am particularly interested in Eastern Europe and the former Yugoslavian Republics. I am a die-hard fan of the Georgia Southern Eagles and the University of Tennessee Volunteers. I considering myself a stuanch supporter of Western ideaology. I learned to play chess as a child and recently picked it back up in 2008. My favorite opening is the Ruy Lopez and my favorite defenses are (e4) the Berlin and (d4) the Nimzowitch Indian and Kings Indian. My favorite chess players in history are Mikhail Tal, Bobby Fischer, and Paul Morphy. My favorite modern chess players are Gata Kamsky and Magnus Carlsen. I welcome playing games with any player of any rating, so long as you are a good sport. If you can't win or lose graciously, I have no desire to play with you.
