About Me:
I taught myself chess at the age of 11 and played for my school from 14 to 17. Then I played for West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive (the local bus company!) and my Polytechnic, until about 1983. I entered a few tournaments, my best result being equal 2nd. I didn't play competitively then, until 1992, when I joined the Peugeot Talbot team and played for 1 season. I've played casually against my brother-in-law since 1995.
I really enjoy this site. A good chance to learn from great people, with a great diversity of backgrounds, but with one thing in common - they love the greatest game ever invented! (and they have internet access).
