My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I love the game because it's competitive no matter what your age is. I put more hours studying than actually playing. My style is defensive and my favorite opening is the Sicilian Dragon-Yugoslav Attack as black and Ruy Lopez Najdorf-Chigorin Variation as white. The last tournament I played in was the 2002 National Open here in the Philippines, I won 3 games lost 4 swiss system (I played like a jerk, actually slept in the first game!) My favorite players are Bobby Fischer, Paul Morphy, Garry Kasparov.

I'm just a beginner in chess. My current rating based on online games is around 1594 after 13 games. I believe that a player's rating is firmly calibrated after 300 games. I do not know my real rating yet but I have this fee...Read more »
