About Me:
I'm a beginner. I've known how the pieces move since I was a kid, but this is the first time I've actually studied strategy or tactics. This site is great and it's pretty much my only experience playing anything other than against the computer on my laptop. I've been on this site for over a month now and have learned an incredible amount already. I've been consumed with chess lately and practice with chessmentor and tactics trainer frequently.
Since I'm part Sicilian, I've taken a great interest in that defense system. It is probably way too advanced for my level, but I will keep working on it until I grasp the concept fully. I'm not trying to become a grand master or anything. I just want to become a good amatuer player and enjoy the mental challenge.
