About Me:
I am a legal studies student at the University of Waterloo. I've been playing chess ever since I can remember; my father bought me a computer board when I was very young, and taught me how to play. I spent countless hours throughout my childhood in front of that board, and it fascinated me that no matter how many times I played, there was always something new to see and discover, and I've been an avid player ever since.
Through school I played in tournaments, and have been used to playing with a clock and a board in front me of me. I have to admit playing online has definitely thrown me for a loop and I am having a hard time adjusting.
Rash moves I would rely on in the timed games are only detrimental. Not to say I am not enjoying it, and I am getting stronger every day I play.
When in my element, I prefer to play as black. Though on here the statistics right now say otherwise. I prefer black because I really have no style myself, I prefer to act last and let them lead: There's a reason the pawns go first.
