I learned chess from my older brother when I was about 8 years old. I am now 56. Lasker said, "Chess is a fight..." I like to compete and match wits with others in chess competition. I tend to like to play a logical positional style of chess rather than the more tactical attacking type of chess. I love the players of the long ago past such as Emmanuel Lasker and Jose Capablaca but masters of attack such as Alexander Alekhine are a favorite of mine also. I make my living as a security officer. As for my other interests, I love to sing Karaoke, read in the area of psychology, and have enjoyed many of the books of horror writer Stephen King. Oh, I named my cat Lasker after the former world champion. See you on the chessboard...
