Halloween, 2008 - my first match at Chess.com - a savage beating by an 1100 + opponent. Not as good at this as I'd thought, regrets for all that time in school squandered on Scrabble and backgammon.... The beatings of course continue, but my game has improved a bit, I've met lots of decent folk, and made some good friends - I keep learning, and I keep playing, not bad for an old fart....
