Outside of chess I am a recovering cancer patient. After the chemo I had time to kill and started playing games. Chess is the only game I am still playing. I love my wife and my son. And one day I would love to be a writer. Learning chess as a child was easy. Having my dad kick my butt every time was rough. I didn't play chess again until I was in high school and dropped it soon after. This time I'm back and have taken the game one step further. I am taking the time to understand the opening moves and learning tactics. All thanks to chess.com
