About Me:
Well, the name's Anton. My grandfather taught me how to play chess when I was 6 or 7, but I didn't start playing serious until I joined the school team. Things went fast from that moment. Did well in regional, provincial, and national championships, until I quit to focus on golf. Kept training with some friends who now hold a varied range of titles. Golfing commitments and studying abroad/traveling restricted me in tournament play, but I plan on getting back to OTB chess in a few months again - which will be quite a shock. Time limits and no visual aids...
Chess.com got me back into chess. I'm good on opening theory, and enjoy studying new variations all the time. I have the tendency to just make big blunders halfway through the game, giving won or equal games away.
I am also a moderator/helper on Live Chess for Chess.com. Come join me there!
