I recently started taking my chess much more seriously and am building my skill so that by the end of 2010 or 2011 I can feel comfortable enough to play in a tournament. I have no chess coach and do all of my chess study on my own time at home. once I have memorized my favorite openings and such, i plan on seeking out a formal coach to help me accelerate my gameplay progression. Until then, I'm just playing these games for a little fun. If you have any chess books to recommend, as I'm still new to the study of chess, I'd love some suggestions. I'm also looking for some team play on Chess.com, but I don't have many friends on the site. If you think we could help each other out and learn from each other, I'd love to sit and play a few games and examine some of both of our games.
