I was born in Matanzas, Cuba, in 1963, but I live in Mexico from 1998. I'm a journalist. I`m vegetarian and I like to practice long distances races. I was introduced in chess by my father who died in june 12, 2007. Exactly three moths later he passed away, in Mexico began the chess world championship. I covered it like journalist. This champ was for me an opportunity to show my father is alive and I had a big surprise. I went to the champ with my daugther and she told me "I want to play it". She learned in two days and now she is living the magic world of the chess like I lived in 1972 when a I was 9 years old and enjoyed the big match Fisher-Spassky with my father. I was in my school team, but I left the chess for 25 or more years. Now I'm returning. Of course, I want to improve my rating but my real party is different. My party is just to play the game.
