My name is Erin, and I'm a grad student living in NYC.
In short, I'm a young, attractive girl who - brace yourself - loves playing chess. I also like star trek. I am every nerds dream. I love writing, chess, reading, logical problems, storm-chasing, meteorology, physics, philosophy, astronomy, astrophotography, traveling, knitting, linguistics, etymology, biology, chemistry, crosswords, sketching, school, road-tripping, and anything you wouldn't hear Ned-from-accounting talk about doing over the long weekend.
If you want to know more: In 2008 graduated from UNT with a BA in Philosophy and, to add to my useless major, I have a couple of useless minors: English creative writing and Spanish. I'm currently a graduate student at The New School in downtown NYC, pursuing my MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing '12. I'm living in NYC in a perfect, enormous apartment, situated on the top floor (I have the whole fourth floor--yay for the penthouse!) of a prewar brownstone in East Harlem. Chess is, essentially, a game of wits and warfare; the implementation of a series of logical deductions and intuitive inferences, all founded upon a strategic yet ruthless kind of Machiavellianism-in-action. The practice of this is something which I find highly therapeutic in times like these.
Thanks!
Erin W.
