Haven't played a live game for over 35 years. Was once a fair player. Was the "last man standing" against George Koltenowski at a simultanionce game once - and had a conversation with him that was most enlightning. Lost my Mother to Alzhiemers and think chess may be a good way. Just looking to fill a few good years, OK I would like a fair amount beyond a few..
Have only belonged to two chess clubs was 1st man on my college "team" (we never played anyone) and second man on the Salinas (CA) team, that's where I had the privilge to play George (I always admired anyone who could play blindfold chess {OK I think I was fair at it but not like George K - He held the record at 56 simultaneous blindfold games at that time.
