Hello my name is Ian (i'm 46 something). I am married (http://www.chess.com/photos/view_album/Nf6/the-chess-man-and-her) with two children. I learnt the moves at the tender age of 10, didn't do much with the game until I was 19 when I got a book on the Karparov v Karpov WCC Moscow Marathon in 1985. From there I was fascinated by the game of chess.
I taught my daugther the moves at the tender age of 6 and sone aged 7 (http://www.chess.com/photos/view_album/Nf6/family), only for her to give it up 2 years later for High School Musicial. Other interests, I have recently taken up Running (after 18years and will be running in the London Marathon 2010 4hrs 19min), Walking/Hiking and also enjoying Cycling
My claim to fame was at the WCC Kasparov v Short Game 1 in London 1993. (http://www.chess.com/photos/view_album/Nf6/wcc-1993-kasparov-v-short)
