Joke: How to chess players exercise?
By castling long!!
Anyway, learnt the moves at the tender age of 10. Didn't do much with the game until I was 19 when I got a book on the Karparov v Karpov WCC Moscow Marathon in 1985. From there I was hooked on the game.
Taught my daugther the moves at the tender age of 6. Some 14 years later..........
Only now in my life can I spend time (30 minutes a night)studying as well as playing chess.
I play for Marple Chess Club in the Stockport League
.........On cheating, "Well you are only cheating yourself at the end of the day"!!
Claim to fame was at the WCC Kasparov v Short Game 1 in London 1993. (see pictures below)
