About Me:
I was once considered a prodigy in our small town when I won a local tournament (at the age of twelve) against mostly adults. I never had a chance to put my skills to test in sanctioned tournaments basically due to other priorities and financial constraints although I played lots of chess while in college. To develop my game on a deeper level, I studied in-depth the games of world-class players whenever time allows. Morphy, Capablanca, Alekhine, Tal & Fischer are my favorites and among the lesser known, Portisch, Gligoric & Llubojevich.
I think I'm capable of playing competitive chess and given the luxury of time in online chess I can probably elevate the quality of my game several notches. However, winning or losing is not as important to me as learning and meeting new people.
