Used to play as a "youngster" until about the age of 15. Nothing serious. Occasional games since. Always open games with no set strategy of opening.. Just thinking as far ahead as possible. Have now discovered a whole world of strategy and tactics I thought were the preserve of Masters. Fascinating. Now doing my best to learn more!
