Back to my review of foreign films. "The Secret fo the Grain", a French film about Arab emigrates to France. Excellent story of a family, divorced husband and wife and their grown children. I fell in love with the 20 year old beautiful Arab woman. Tremendous actress. Starts off slow but the dramatic acting is superb. 5 Stars.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX "Dhobi Ghat". An Indian movie about two love stories and all four lovers love some one else. Very good sad love story. Once again the female star of the film is extremely gifted. 4 Stars.
The Secret in Their Eyes – Argentine movie in Spanish with English subtitles. A detective who dunnit with a revenge subplot and a love story. Very well done, slow moving by some standards but I'm a sucker for love stories. Well acted, colorful cinematography and well scored. 2 ½ stars May 18, 2011
