About Me:
Hello my name is Pierre Korfiatis, I am 18 years old.I'm a Senior in high school also emo. I was born Paris, France. I am part Russian and Greek. My mother side is Russian and my father side is Greek. I lived in Paris for 8 years but in the summer I visit Moscow with my family. I moved to America when I was 8 years of age. I also learned chess at the age of 8, my cousins from Russia showed me this game, first time I played I've lost a lot.For 4 years I did'nt really get into the game until at 12 I was playing even better. And at this time I became passionate about chess. I went on my first chess tournament at the age of 13, I got first place. At 14 and 15 I was already the best high school player in my school. In 15 I went to my first national chess championship, I did pretty well. We have a team in High school. In my junior year sept 08 I was awarded as the captain of the chess team in my school. My favorite types of chess is blitz chess and lightning sometimes i play slow chess as in 15-30 minutes. My favorite chess player is Alexander Grischuk from Russia, I just like his playing style, Entienne Bacrot and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. My hobbies are chess (obviously LOL), ping pong (top 10 in the school), tennis, bowling, badminton and swiming, art as in drawing painting music and styles. My favorite types of music is emo, electronnica, screamo Rock as in Hard rock, Gothic rock, heavy metal different types, Ilike some pop soft rock music and alternative rock I like some jazz music and I like emo music. My favorite bands are Tokio hotel, Hawthorne Heights, My chemical romance, 30 seconds to mars, Nightwish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AFI, System of a down, Academy is..., she wants revenge, George Michael, Elton John, Beatles, Serga (Russian Rock), Sunlight, cher, seal, and many more. As u can see I have a lot of music options. My favorite books are horror such as Edgar Poe and others I like the lovely bones, catcher in the rye and the bible.Favorite oppening is the Sicilian dragon. I play the dragon for e4 andd the slav for d4. I am lerning the french, grand prix, scandivian and maybe the caro kann so i can have more choices on games. I get good in school I am a honor student for French and History and soon Psychology that's I want to become when I grow up. I live with my family now, going to school and things like that. I play chess in my chess club in school on Tuesday's and Thursday's sometimes Wednesday. I everyday play chess on the coumputer or play other players. On June 17th, 2009 is going to be my last day of school and my first day of my Senior year Yeah!!!! I've decided to play chess for the rest of my life and keep playing beter and better.
