About Me:
I love camping, hiking, fishing, long distance bicycle touring, stamp collecting, music and playing guitar to name a few...I work at a large manufacturing company as a Journey-Level Machinist that builds, repairs and services large cranes...Much of what I think about pertains to my 10-year old daughter.,although divorced, my daughter is the focal point of my life. Who do I want to be??? I guess being the very best I can be. Someone that people could always confide in and trust., caring and considerate of others are the qualities that I believe are my strong attributes and would never want to deviate from.
I love the game of chess because of the strategies involved. I love the concentration that is needed, and there is alot of problem solving which I love in itself....I play often...daily when possible. I love the conventional style of play...I've played speed chess, 4-square chess and (mid-air) chess where you would call out the moves by notation and a board is not used...the board is in your mind....very challenging.The "Vulture" is my favorite opening. I have done well in many tournaments...over the board and correspondence. Bobby Fisher has always been my favorite player...Gary Kasparov and Nigel Short as well. I could spend many hours a day just playing chess...it's just that great of a game!!!
