I'm an Englishman, turned Australian (except for cricket) living in Sydney. I learned to play chess badly when 7 or 8 I suppose with a friend and through reading lots of chess puzzle books. Played in high school for the team, but was never really any good. Then didn't play until my mid thirties when I discovered online chess thanks to a friend.
Love the chess mentor and tactics trainer and now beginning to learn rather a lot about tactics and strategies and openings and middle games and endgames and all manner of other techinques tha positional concepts and just how little I know about this wonderful game.
