My life is all about my lovely wife and precious daughter, and the challenges of endurance running.
Any other passions? Well, you can figure that chess is one of them. Started playing chess just recently again. Learned it from my father and grand-father. Played it unceasently at high school. Could be pretty relentless. Can remember the ecstatic euphoria of a win, no matter what, and the complete disillusionment when lost.

When I was a teenager, I can remember that I played on instinct and intuition, not so much with any particular strategy, other than going for the King, or fancy tactics. That has changed dramatically since I've rediscovered the game. Age and experience has its benefits ... Still making mistakes though, major ones, love to go for the kill, pretty blindly, and always looking to create the unexpected. However, to build a strong positional play is the true challenge. If I can be patience and have the wits and fitness to maintain focused, beauty will arise. If not, most likely I'll lose in vanity ...
