About Me:
I used to play tournament chess and worked hard at improving. But, for some time now, I haven't played any OTB and have fallen into the "internet-blitz-only-in-order-to-improve" trap.
Yeah... It hasn't worked... (If blitz is a tuxedo, I'm a brown pair of shoes).
So, with the absence of OTB tournaments in my new town, and my great desire to get back to playing chess (instead of blitz), I've come here to push some digital wood and analyze some positions. Anyway, my favorite currently active player is Kramnik and, from the past, I love the games of Karpov and Capablanca.
A message to opponents: my wife is attending grad school in a city four hours away. I try and make the drive on as many weekends as my job will allow. As a result, I'm not always able to make moves between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening. I'm not intentionally stalling or trying to be a pain! And I'll try to avoid actual postponements, but they will be necessary from time to time (ie. on long weekends). Thanks in advance for your understanding!
