My dad started me playing chess at about age 8. He also started me playing golf at about the same time. I enjoyed Chess but golf came first. I only managed to play chess sporadically. I stopped playing chess at about age 10 when I was playing golf and basketball. I picked it up again in a year. I only started playing chess much more consistently the last 4 years. I play in my local scholastic tournament every year, other than that I haven’t played in many tournaments. My USCF rating is 777 but that is only based on about 10 games. Most of which I played when I was younger. A few people say I should be rated around 1400. Personally I feel like a play around 1300. I love to play golf and it still comes before Chess. So I am sorry if it takes me a long time to make a move.  Favorite quotes:  You have to learn the rules of the game.
