About Me:
I used to play a lot of chess when I was a kid (played for the Danish championship once - county champion once and third once), but gave it up at about 13 (girls and partys became more interesting). I picked it up again when I started at university (not that girls and partys aren't interesting anymore =) - all of my timeouts are due to bingers!). My playing style is mostly aggressive. I often make !? or ?! moves(bishop or knight sacs) just to give the game some excitement and if it gives me some strong attacking possibilities. I like to play the KG and Grand Prix attack with white and Scandinavian or Dutch with black. At the moment I am writing a couple of articles based on my masters thesis, so if I am a bit slow at making my moves you know why.

A game I played recently in the Ponziani opening, which I have adopted as a surprise:
Here is another recent game. This is from last night. I had a clear win a one point, but because I was sick, I was unable to focus through the entire game.
Yesterday I played for my team (The Copenhagen Chess Association). We were badly out-rated. My opponent had a rating of 1761 against my measly 1327. He had the white pieces, and chose 1.c4 the English opening. I have played a thematic tournament in this opening here on chess.com, but must admit I felt a bit uneasy about the situation. The game went as follows:
Okay, so last night I played for our team once again. I had prepared to face another player than I did - apparently they had shuffled some of their players around. The game went as follows:
My most recent OTB game. It was the first round of our club championship, which is taking place every Monday evening for the next 5 weeks.
Second round of club tournament:
So now I am 2/2, and looking forward to next Monday!
Round three:
Round 4 of the Club Tournament:
Going in to the last round of the Club Tournament I was leading my group, and could settle for a draw while stille taking the sole lead. However, my opponent was the runner-up, and needed a full point to win the tournament. I had faced him once before in a 30 mins each game, which I won, and I had noticed that he usually plays 1.e4, so I had been going through lines in the French defense, thinking we were going to head that way. But I was in for a surprise!
So I had 4½/5 and won my group. In all fairness I should mention that my rating was set too low when I joined the club last year. I am looking forward to my updated rating!

Yesterday I represented my club in the last team match of the 2010-2011 tournament. We are 8 on the team, and I played the last board, which I have done most of the season. (I did not play in one round.)
Our team had to win 5-3 in order to stay in ...Read more »
