Currently deployed in Afghanistan until later this year (2012), so hopefully chess.com turns out to be a useful way to spend some free time.
I've been playing chess on and off for roughly ten, eleven years or so. Recently, the bug has bit me once again so it could be said I'm trying to get back in to the "swing" of things.
Used to play 1st board on my varsity team back in high school. Picked up a couple all-league selections and came out with a good overall record, but that's about the extent of my 'career.'
Upon returning to the states, ideally, i'd like to start getting back in to competitive play to see where I stand. Maybe get titled as a national master with enough study.
