I caught the chess bug when teaching it to my children, and have been playing seriously (my wife would say "obsessively") since Spring 2011. 

I have been playing some OTB tournaments and I help out with a couple of local youth chess clubs.

I like to play the Scotch Opening or the King's Gambit if my opponent lets me.
