Occupation: keeping myself upright
I often get asked what texts to read if one wants to know more about the Buddha's teachings, I say- the 'Dhammapada,' is beautiful and accessible, the Buddha's first discourse (Dhammacakkapavattana) is a complete teaching, the "Diamond That cuts through Illusion" (prajna-paramita) shows the depth of the thinking. I am a Buddhist at heart. And so it goes... The wise, knowing what is truly trivial and what is vital, gain the highest knowledge. Abandon wrong-doing, cultivate virtue, subdue the mind, this is the Dharma.
