Hey. The name's Jared. I play chess for the fun of the game. I like to think, so this game is surely fitting for someone like me. I learned chess awhile ago... but i wasn't great at it. I only started to become more interested in it when i started to attend college. I joined the chess club there and soon after participated in the first tournament of that school year. Didn't do so well, 21/30 which isn't too bad for a beginner. I managed to beat a professor from a local community college. Had to play the now former president of our club first round, and then the best player from the community college.
That tournament pretty much stuck me to chess. I've been obsessed ever since.
