About Me:
Currently a prospective college student playing online chess in between studies. I work as a private chess tutor for children, yet I'm always willing to learn. I have not entered any official tournaments (though I would like to...); also in my free time, I am an supervising admin of a local children's chess club. I also study Krav Maga as a hobby. Incidentally, I plan on majoring in English (looking into a teaching profession). I think that pretty well covers it... My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I wouldn't be here if I didn't love chess. Recently, I have been reading some chess books by WGM Susan Polgar (my favorite famous chess player) to help improve my game in tactical play. My father first introduced me to this wonderful game, and my brother mentored me in developing my game into higher levels of play. I've been playing chess on and off for 11 years now, but just became serious about it 5 years ago. I use to play on www.chess.ac; my highest rank achieved was 30th on the site with a rating of 1824 (though I really don't think I'm that good). My best win was against a player rated 1917.
