About Me:
I have been playing chess for 25 years now, and have experienced times where things went brilliantly well as well as times where I simply hated the game or rather myself for not being able to master what seemed like the most trivial detail at that time.
Yet chess is one of the most wonderful pastimes which in my view combines important elements of:
sports: by its undoubted competitiveness and the adrenaline you spend when playing a really exciting game.
art: in the beauty of a combination, a surprising tactical blow or the clarity of y good strategical plan, and the creativeness required to devise it.
science: in the attempt to find the ultimate truth, if there is such a thing, which may be at the heart of a given position or move.
Apart from chess, I enjoy good music (mostly, but not exclusively Classical), good books, different kinds of sports and a glass of Scotch Single Malt now and then.

atm I have reached a point where I find less and less joy in chess. Therefore please understand that I don't accept any new challenges.
