I was introduced to the game at age 7, played regularly for 7-8 years, then took a break.
I've rediscovered this game almost 10 years later,
ever since i recently lost to someone i thought i'd NEVER lose against, i've been driven to train hard to be able to beat him the next time I play him. Funnily enough, I think now i've learnt far deeper than I really should have. It's still made me a better player though, and now I'm committed to improving on a regular basis.
My favourite players are Alexander Alekhine and Garry Kasparov. I sort of like, and respect both Capablanca and Fischer.
I play and study every day, at least 3 hours a day, 1 dedicated to studying openings and 2 dedicated to playing chess.
