I have played Chess off and on since I was 10.
Highest rating to date USCF == 1814.
I use this site to test all sorts of ideas. Some are good. Some are bad. I no longer consult openings books much, or databases during a game, as I only care about over the board play. And as you can't use a book there, it makes no sense to consult one here. Feel free to use on against me, as testing my ideas vs. known ideas means I will learn quicker when I check over the games after the game. Look forward to some fun and interesting games!
My opening repertoire:
Transitioning to 1.Nf3 or 1.d4 ~ I have retired The Bird (1.f4) as I just don't enjoy playing the positions anymore right now.
The Dutch (1...f5 vs. 1.d4) ~ have been known to toss 1...g5 out vs. the English!?
Playing the French now vs. 1.e4. Used to play The Sicilian, but got tired of not ever getting to play my main line over the board (and the French fits better with The Dutch anyways).
