I remember looking through a 2nd hand store, with my mom when I was 6 years old. Into the toy section was a chess set, I asked my mom for it, Reading the box (age limit 8) my mother told me I wasn't old enough to learn how to play chess. I told her that I could learn how to play, and she got it for me. Been playing every so often ever since.
