About Me:
I learned the basics of chess when I was, probably, 8, then dropped the game for a few years. It was till early this year that my father rekindled the excitement of chess in me and both of us started playing with each other. Then came April, and it was then that my thinking of chess would change drastically with the introduction of this site by my father. This is one place that has totally transformed me from a chess beginner who knew nothing about tactics or strategies to one who now knows mating patterns and strong, direct openings. I guess I have to owe my gratitudes to my father, and also Erik!

The first game shows the power of having two bishops in the endgame (in this case, 2B vs. R) However, I am a pawn up in the endgame, so I have a slightly better chance of pawn promotion.
