About Me:
Hi, my name is Averil Maranan Trevelyan. I'm half-Filipino, half-Caucasian. I was originally born in Davao Philippines and moved to the California when I was two. Every so often I go back to visit my relatives for new years, haha.
I've been playing chess since the age of seven, being taught by my father. Ever since then I've been semi-intimately involved with the game, learning new things about it. Chess.com is a really great experience for doing that, and I'm glad to be a part of the community here.
If you want to get a feel for my playing style, I'm a bit of an attacker, like the great Mikhail Tal. I usually play the Sicilian and the Ruy Lopez, but I'm well versed in other openings as well.
Oh and I play chess because it helps me focus more haha. Anyway I currently live in the states and I usually play at night. Let's play some time yeah?
