Occupation: Ph.d-student in the didactics of mathematics
I'm master of science in mathematics and physics, and works as a ph.d-student in the didatics of mathematics at the Roskilde University, studying mathematics education at the upper secondary level.
I live in Ishøj 15 km south of Copenhagen (danish capital) in an appartment with my girlfriend, our son and our cat. Beside my job and chess, I am involved with politics and interested in history.
I am fascinated of the Hypermodern opening strategy (as played by Reti, Larsen, e.g.). I almost never play open games (1. e4 e5), but sometimes I try...
My dad learned me to play chess more than 20 years ago and as a kid I was a good player I think. I played in the annual tournament between the local schools 2 or 3 times, and only lost one game at all. But I never started in a club and therefore never learned theory or got training. The last 15 years I have only been playing very spontanious, but since I discoverede chess.com in the begginning of january 2008 (through the chess-applikation on Facebook), I have started to play more and bought some chess-books... but it is hard to find time to study the game of kings.
