About Me:

Elementary teacher and basketball coach. Through a combination of skill, study, and luck (mostly luck!), I have managed to reach the 2100+ mark at a few chess servers, including chess.com. I am active at the yahoo unorthodox chess openings group. I have contributed articles to its UON (Unorthodox Openings Newsletter), and to The Chess Parrot, another yahoo based group. I have made some good friends via internet chess and appreciate being able to play a game just about anytime I have the time! I think Fischer was the best ever, and while I love studying his games, I don't have the skills to play that style. I like to play unorthodox when possible-Nimzo def v 1e4; Benoni, Pirc, and Indian Defense v. 1d4, and a variety as white - Polish, Benko, Nimzo-Larsen, Dunst, and some English variations.
