About Me:
Love my rugby, who I support the New Zealand All Blacks and go the Auckland Blues in the super14. And rugby league where I go for the Warriors and the NZ kiwis. So you can tell Im an expat kiwi living in Oz. Just got back on to dayshift after 8yrs on night shift and its great to have a normal existence again. Social life back yeah and more time for chess yes!
My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
Played alot in my teens but then a there was a huge gap say 14yrs when I didnt play. My hunger for the game was reignited when a few guys at my job were keen chess players and at lunch we would battle it out. I'd say in terms of play Im intermediate level, I havent studied or anything like that, thats why I joined this site so I can learn more and practice to become a better player .........................so I can have bragging rights at work!...haha. I always play certain openings and defences but still gotta find out the names for these. I better start reading about them and the different variations they can lead to. But if I do I feel sorry for my next opponent who I can unleash my new found knowledge upon ;)
