I am from Saint-Petersburg, though right now living in Moscow.
I've learned chess as a child and was a '1st category' OTB player in the Russian system (it would be circa 1900 FIDE today), but this was some 10 years ago. Right now I have successfully forgotten all the theory and just playing chess for fun. But I hate to loose :).
When it's not my turn to move, I earn my living by translating fiction books from English to Russian, so please don't play too fast -- my publishers' deadlines are pretty tight :).
