About Me:
I was taught chess by a 13 yr old girl while visiting in Great Bend, Kansas, just after I completed a bachelor's degree. Then I didn't play again until I was in my mid fifties. I went through a period of mild obsession with it, as much as you can with children and a demanding job. I bought a bunch of books and read them. My family doesn't like it because it requires concentration, which removes me from the melee, but that's partly what I like about it. Mainly I love puzzles and chess is the supreme puzzle game.
