About Me:

I love CHESS. I gained momentum in chess when I was in high school. I played for the school team. I played with school mates and also used chess books. Chess has a long history but I became fascinated with one legendary and iconic player Paul Morphy, the grandeur and classic player of all times. His play is not only spectacular, I learned from his games that material is nothing and strategy is everything. He showed he is a star player of all times, A true GM if he were to be rated in modern times. After you see his game you ought to say "how did he know that?", just from the way he completes with the last move as if he analyzed the whole game before playing!

Also while I was still a novice in chess, I saw the games of a few grand players. And I came to admire Bobby Fischer. He played a much modern chess than Morphy. Fischer was a genius at this game and probably so obsessed about it such that he eventually came up with a generic way of setting up pieces such that the standard chess openings do not apply when you start the game. That's what has become Chess390.
