I am a 13 year old kid that fell in love with chess at the age of 7, and I have been playing ever since. A few years ago, I used to be one of the best in the state, as I went to the Washington State tournament and did pretty well. I haven't done many tournaments since, so I'm probably better ranked than before. I think that chess is a great game to play simply because it makes you think. We need strategy in life, so why not gain it now? My other hobbies include reading and playing the piano. I encourage new people to just try a game of chess, and see how they like it. I especially encourage those scholastic kids just like me. Thanks. :)
