About Me:
I am a teacher and minister who loves to laugh and be with friends. I'm a huge sports fan and have been a NY Yankees fan for over 20 years (yes, I can hear you booing. Jealousy is not becoming a chess player). I am a chess legend in my own mind, however realitiy is much harsher and I realize that I have much to learn.
I love the game of chess as it appeals to my logical senses in it's rules, tactics and strategy. Yet it also appeals to the artist in me given that you never play the same game twice. My father taught me to play at a young age, and while never considered a "whiz", I've enjoyed the game immensely. Favorite openings are 1. e4 and 1. b3 on the white side of the board, and Sicilian defense on the black side. (I also like the four knight game and it's many variations)
