57 year old musician, college professor, ethnomusicologist. Playing chess since I was 7 years old. Played tournaments in university, and a little bit since.
I use chess as a gauge of my mental acuity, and appreciate the social interaction in producing the work of art that is a game. I always strive to do better, and appreciate that in my fellow players.
