I have met great people had great games Yo !!
I am one of the older persons of life, good yes to reach it !!
I have two of my grandchildren starting to play and they are both members here.
I am a ships cook working one month on and then one month off.
I got a computer a while ago but only recently I put in chess and found Chess.com I have tried some of the others but this is the best. After a short while I took out a membership and am enjoying all the benefits.
Since joining the site it has rekindled my interest in chess which I took up when I was very young and now I am about to play over the board chess again at my local club I have also become a member of Chess Scotland our national Association and have been given an over the board rating of 1005 (no games played) which I hope to improve on.
I have been to my local club and played most of the members some of whom are still their from my previous time with the club. I won my first championship game before I came away back to sea.It was a very hard struggle and I was shaking like a leaf.
Yes a very big thank you to my friends at chess.com I think I may be a better over the board player now as I have learned much things about the game and life.
I very seldom miss a day here. I used to play backgammon and poker online but now just chess and I have more money in my pocket 
Yes I am me but a better person for my time on Chess.com
